About AGP

Architectural Glass Products (AGP) is a brand-new state of the art double-glazing manufacturing business focused on supplying high quality products with exceptional service to its customers. AGP operates out of a custom-built world-class facility in Hautapu, near Cambridge. AGP was awarded the 2022 Waikato Chamber of Commerce Business Growth award in recognition of the exceptional growth seen since beginning operation just a few years earlier.

AGP is part of the Profile Group, the market leader of window and door systems in New Zealand. AGP was created to help provide the APL window manufacturer network with a total window solution. Glass is an integral part of any window solution and APL can now offer the most advanced glass technology to their customers.

AGP Technology

In an effort to provide our customers with the best quality and service we occupy a purpose-built factory that is over 40,000 sqm. The plant and equipment were selected after a two-year due diligence and planning process that involved benchmarking against other world-class glass manufacturers. Insulated Glass Units (IGUs) are produced with minimal human contact using precise automated equipment to provide a superior end product.

Glass scanners

Glass scanners are key to the quality of our finished product, and ensure our high standards are maintained.

Shuttles

Automated shuttles work to ensure the correct type of glass ends up in the correct part of the factory.

Toughened glass

Our state-of-the-art toughening furnaces enable us to produce Grade A safety glass with minimal roller wave and distortion.

ATS

Our robotically applied spacer system ensures accuracy and integrity of the seal.

Finished product

The result of our highly automated plant is when two pieces of glass are joined with our ATS spacer system to form a complete double-glazing unit.
